Attorney Profile

Ruth Kalnitsky is one step short of being a San Francisco native.  She attended high school and graduated from the French American International School (now known as the International High School) in San Francisco and enrolled at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, where she majored in Sociology, minored in French language and literature and obtained a certificate in Social Justice and Public Policy.  During these years she established herself in her communities through volunteer work with organizations that strive to level the playing field for underprivileged youth, aid the homeless and correct other injustice.

Upon completing her undergraduate studies, Ms. Kalnitsky returned to her hometown to attend the Golden Gate University School of Law.  During her tenure as a law student, Ms. Kalnitsky worked as a law clerk for Kletter & Peretz, a civil litigation firm that showed her the ropes of litigation and taught her the art of responsible and zealous representation.

After her admission to the State Bar of California, Ms. Kalnitsky sharpened her courtroom skills by practicing in various fields of law, including: employment litigation, landlord/tenant disputes, civil rights matters and complex family law cases.  Ms. Kalnitsky also glimpsed into the inner-workings of the insurance industry in her practice as an insurance coverage attorney.

Having gained perspective from these multiple disciplines of the legal spectrum, in January 2009, Ms. Kalnitsky embarked into solo practice, determined to create an innovative practice whose focus is to bring an innovative approach to practicing law while working to benefit the community and to honor those dedicated to social responsibility.
